The picture above is of me. Though I doubt I needed to tell anyone that. My name is Casandra. If you leave a comment on the blog about me or to me, feel free to call me Casandra, Cassie, or Casey. I’m not too picky about it and I’ll answer to all 3 or some similar variation. I likewise don’t mind how people spell it unless you call me something entirely different. In all honesty, when it comes to people’s comments, spelling and punctuation are not extremely important to me. So long as I can make out what you are trying to say I won’t mention it. This is because of my own struggles with grammar. (Thank you, God for dictionaries otherwise, I’d be in trouble.)
I am a single mother of 2 children whom I love very much and that I am exceedingly proud of. My oldest is heading off to High School this next year and my Youngest is in 7th grade next year. They are both great children. I thank God for giving me such great children.
I work 3rd shift every day. I am an independent contractor and I deliver newspapers from 1:30 am until 5:30 am. I enjoy it, though it doesn’t afford me any days off. I am not exactly a social butterfly, so this job suits me better than the only other things I am qualified to do (customer service and food service).
I am in love with reading everything I can. Lately, I’ve been especially enjoying reading about the history of the US. This includes all sorts of great stuff. I am just finishing the book “Written out of History.” By Senator Mike Lee. It is about people who were instrumental in the starting of the American Experiment but were written out of history, or what we do know about them from the common stories passed down is very little. It’s really interesting and I am quite sad that there is only one more person to explore in the book before I am finished. I also like comic books, manga, novels, e-books, fan fiction, articles, and pretty much anything I can read. I even enjoy Otome games since they are pretty much like choose your own adventure romance manga, just on an app instead of in book form. I also enjoy using Itunes University to listen to lectures and take free courses. Although the classes are not graded, they are still fun to do.
My other biggest Passion is for Writing. I wanted to be a professional Writer when I was younger. I used to write a lot of short stories and poetry as a child and teen but as an adult, I started writing all sorts of stuff including working on novels. It is still my hope to someday to publish a novel or book of short stories.
There are tons of other things I enjoy such as Crocheting. Hiking, Camping, Playing RPG games and watching Anime. Although to be honest, I’ve always seemed to have cycles when it comes to a lot of these things, changing what I enjoy doing from time to time. But some things remain constant no matter what. Those are my hobbies of reading, learning, and writing.
Well, that’s about all I can think of adding into the About Me section for now. I may add more later, but for now, this is enough.
